Burrell Catalogue launched!

It’s been 20 years in the thinking, 10 years in the making and our dyestuff analysis essay has been going back and forth for 5 years – but at long last the fully comprehensive and truly magnificent catalogue of 200+ tapestries from the world-renown Burrell Collection has been published. Burrell himself originally commissioned a catalogue of the tapestries in his collection, but due to tragic circumstances this was never completed. Finally his wish is fulfilled and the outstanding collection of tapestry artworks which he bequeathed to the people of Glasgow is documented in full. Alison is pictured here with conservator Helen Hughes at the launch reception in the Kelvingrove Art Galleries in Glasgow.
